Hi Issac

Thanks for getting back to me. Getting all parts from StairDesigner into Vcarve pro for machining is what I need the most.

It is not as important to get the design into Fusion 360 but I thought it may be easier to take some of the trickier measurement in there or Sketchup. For example on the first left hand string it has a sharp curve at the top. When making I will have to widen the string at the top to account for this curve but am not sure how to go about measuring parts of the string. I don’t want to have to widen the whole string and waste material – this is the same on all the left hand stringers. I can probably do this in V carve but usually I would use Sketchup or Fusion. Perhaps there is more to the measuring tool in StairDesigner that I need to learn.

Kindly,

Rhodri

P.S I can’t seem to find the post processor option.

Hi Rhordi,

How would you like me to assist? You can open the model in Fusion with a 3D dxf file, although note that this does not contain all of your manufacturing detail.

The dxf post processor is the best for integrating parts into VCarve.

Regards,

Isaac

Hello

I have finished my stair design and am trying to export my design into Fusion 360 and V carve. I would like to tweak the design in Fusion 360 and create toolpaths for my CNC machine to machine the parts in V Carve pro.

I am working from Stairdesigner pro pp and have attached my design.

Thanks,

Rhodri
