Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
I had to wait for details to give you the right answer.
The current SD version is 7.10g
Your boss can update his full version directly from our website. He has to log in before and then go to this page.
If he wants to update his QD libs, make sure he changes before the name of the SD QD libs folder, if not all his own submethods, methods, materials, etc.. will be overwritten.
Regarding the step shaping, the standard in the libs are the 4 you metionned in your post.
The question is where comes from the other step shaping you are talking about?
In SD folder you have 2 libs, the curves one = file name open_curves and shapings = file name shapings (see screen capture below)
Check if these files are in the libs. You can copy/paste them from you old libs if necessary.
If you want more explanations you have to subscribe to Premium Support and we can schedule a TeamViewer help session.
Best regards,
Carole
Hi
On my PC I have Stair Designer 7.06a demo which had about 8 or 9 step shaping designs (bullnose both sides, alternate etc) in the shaping library which was great for practising with.
This morning I downloaded what i thought was an update of the software which has now reduced the shaping library to 4 no. items, alt left, alt right, bullnose and half bull.
My boss has the full version of 7.06a with no shapings at all in the library. Are more shapings available? As I had them on the demo version, one would think they are available somewhere. Do I need to update his stair designer software? if so, where is the link etc to do so please.
Thanks in advance
Tom
*edit – it was the ‘Download Quick Design Libraries’ I had clicked on to lose some of the step shapings…
