Hi Duayne,

Here’s a complete project that you can use as an example.

All the best,

Is it possible to get a sample file of any full sized Parts PDF file for a complete stairway , available in the pro version of stair file , I would like to to take it to a printer to get an idea on Pricing.

It is only free standing on the handrail side with the spindles  , there are walls from the corner of the winders to the top of the stairs and it just has a wall rail , the other side has a wall from the bottom to the top , lots of support for fastening .

Hi Duayne,

I don’t understand you stair well and where the stair can be supported. Is the stair free standing? why isn’t there a handrail on the left?

Can you send some drawings or better some photos?

All the best,

Ness

that works and I have already designed one like that in 13 and 14 rise combinations , my only concern was strength around the winder section on the lower hand rail side , It has another set of stairs below it so i can’t use a post below the stringer for support .

Hi Duaye,

You can set up your stair with 3 winders.

Here’s a model.

All the best,

Ness

the winders ! , we can’t have more than one set ( max 3) in a 90 degree turn .

his response : It has always been our interpretation that flights of stairs are to consist of rectangular treads (with or without 1 set of winders) or angled treads, but not both.

Personally i don’t see how a curved stairway is OK but a winding stairway like the one i drew is not .

As a precaution , i sent the plans into the building inspector before i built them , I have two other sets of stairs to build in the same house , I will figure it out when i get there .

Hi Duayne,

Your stair was set up directly from StairDesigner default settings so depending on the country you are in this may or may not comply to the regs.

I would suggest that you buy a full StairFile service so that we can look in depth at your design and make it comply to the regs.

All the best,

Ness
