Hi Harald
I added on the templates of steps, stringers , handrails and newels.
You only need to print the ones you actually need to process. Make clear to the printshop which pages they need to process.

Michel

Hi Harald,
1/1 templates are a separate service that is not included in the pro subscription.
Here is the link to process the payment of the templates. Once received I will provide you templates on a pdf file based on a 36-inch wide paper

Hi Michel
I visited my local stair builder today and showed him my project. I only needed him to cut stringers. Unfortunately he is not interested
as he just started a million dollar stair job for a large condominium project..
Could you please send me the necessary templets to cut steps and stringers for my stair.
I spoke to my print shop and their printers maximum width is thirty six inches (36″)
I will contact cement templets to wood and cut out by hand/router
They can cut their paper rolls to size if a smaller width is required
Thanks for your help
Harald

Hi Harald,
It was nice talking to you
Here is your stairfile and as discussed if your CNC operator does not manage to do the job you still can request the 1/1 template pdf file which you can print locally on a wide format paper printer. We would need the width of the printer in order to provide the correct templates.

Michel

Hi Harald
Sorry for the delay ;
I am going to sen you the stairfile. This contains the DXF files needed for your CNC operator. you will also get the workshop docs on which they are drawn in pdf. The file the CNC operator will need is the DXF files. I am sending them over asap

Hi Michel
I spoke to a local stair builder and they have a CNC machine..
I may only need a PDF and they would cut stringers and steps.
This is my first time subbing out this work so I’m a little anxious.
Let me know if there is any additional cost and when I can get PDF down load
Thanks
Harald

Hi Harald,
I will check your stair today. You mention that you need templates? So you refer to our 1/1 scale pdf’s? If so this is a paying service. Stairfile is for free but does not contain the templates
In case you need our 1/1 scale pdf templates here is the link for the payment. It is to be found on the page bottom.

Mihel

HI Michel
What is the default that you are referring to?
Penetration parameters, please define not good vs good
Using imperial measurements
I’m using 1 3/4″ stringers with 1″ thick steps.. route out for steps and risers is 3/4″
Steps will overhand riser 1″
Using wedges under each step and riser
This stair is for my self so I can adjust as necessary.
Can you make corrections and give me templet for steps and stringers?
Thank you
Harald

I am using Imperial measurement.
My stringers are actually 1 3/4″ thick, I would route out about 3/4″ for risers and steps
I usually give about 1″ for step overhang over front of riser
I have not had a chance to look at drawing again but will check tonight.
I also corrected this message as there were several mistakes
thanks for your patience.
Harald

Hi Harald,
Have you checked the components of your stair? You used a default in the software which is not a common stair setup.
also, some penetration parameters are not good. Units are in mm? Are you not using imperial? We need you to recheck your design.
Please check and also check your render in 3D.
regards
Michel

I’m uploading here a StairFile request from one of our subscribers.
Harald, please can you add a post and confirm you’re happy with your design and would like the manufacturing output.
My colleague will then process your design and upload the files here.
Thank you
