Hi David,
Sorry for the delay.
That seems to be an important detail so if you had asked about it I could have helped it but you did not notice it and I have not got such feedback that all steps need to be the same to pass inspection from earlier situations or other members. This was unknown to me.
The software is showing you a 3D view. So always have a check when you want to make a specific type of stair. Here you are not using the landing step ( 19). SD provides the last step (nr19) but there the flight length is measured between the start of your flight and the front of that step 19. The total calculation of the steps includes this nosing and this is creating a difference in length as step 18 passes under the nose of step 19 which is 0.8". Adding to this comes the thickness of the riser 1".
Step 18 is now 1.8" shorter according to your flight length measurements. The only way to solve this is to change the flight length.
The total difference is 1.8" from the front of step 19 ( reference of the flight length) and the back of step 18. As you need all steps to be the same you had to deduct that 1.8" from the flight length as it would be added on by step 18. This would have resulted in all the same steps. Then add 1.8" to the length of the stringboards to fill the gap.
Here is the corrected version for you to check

Hey Michel,
I have a question about the stringers for this project. At the top where it connects to the wall (Tread 18) is much shorter than the rest. I did not realize this until I was laying them out. They all need to be the same to pass inspection here. Is there something I am overlooking. I have double checked measurements and the run of the stringers comes out to be the the exact distance from wall to wall. So its not like I need to add another piece and then attach stringers.( so the treads would match) Some help would be greatly appreciated as I am new to the software. Thank you!

Hi David,
You need to be sure of your project before asking for files. We need some time to process these files. A stairfile is not an immediate issue but the templates is different. I will do it this time but remember this for the future.
Confirm this is your final design before I process

Michel

Hi David,
Here is also our stairfile which includes the parts in Dxf, plan2D Dxf and the 3d Dxf of the stair. You can use any cad program to read these files and on the 2D plan, you have the top view of the stair that allows you to add dimensions and angles on specific parts of the cut stringers.
Have you got your refund as we got the payment twice?
regards
Michel

Hi David,
Our stairfile service is free but does not include the full templates for your stair as this is a paying service.
