Hi Stefan,
I know but I am not making use of credit cards. I can do it via paypal like I am doing my monthly contribution. If you give me an account I can do it. I am VAT registrated so I need payment without VAT
please advise

Hi Michel, if you click on the buy now button on that page, you can pay by debit or credit card. If you are VAT registered, you can also add your VAT number and pay without VAT. Is that method ok for you?
All the best, Stefan

Hi Michel,
The set up for adjusting this is not the step recess values but the “DXF Export Parameters”.
Go to Files>DXF Export Options>Export one file per Piece> Advanced:
There are a whole lot of parameters to adjust the DXF without changing the stair parameters.
This will be added to StairDesigner 7 in the coming months.
As well as this I didn’t know that you had StairDesigner 6.
If you already have v6 you can buy StairDesigner 7 for an update price of £460.
You can buy the update here:

Hi Ness,
Can you show me how it works in version 6 ? I tried and used the front offset in the step parameters. After that i checked the stringboard parameters and selected the recess and enter the value i needed there .
So it should compensate but the thing is that the step penetration is lost if you select this in the stringboard parameters. So it does not seem to work together. Maybe I am doing it wrong

Hi Michel,
Yes I understand perfectly, this function is already in v6 and will be added to v7 in the near future.
For the time being the DXf files have to be edited in CAD.

Hi Ness,
ok thanks and I have another question . The recess in the steps needs a compensation due to the radius of the cutter when the steps are processed . Is this something that will be added on ?
a recess of 10mm on the stepfronts should be followed by a cutter radius compensation . A cutter of 18 mm makes a radius of 9 mm. So in fact the recess in the stringer is 10 mm en the recess of the step should be added with 9 mm to compensate the radius otherwise the steps wil not fit in correctly in the stringer .
Hope this one is clear for you 🙂

Hi Michel,
The latest version of StairDesigner 7 has landings.
These work different from v6 as you add them as you build a multi-flight stair.
Here’s a quick video to show how this works:
We don’t actually sell StairDesigner 7 separately you have to buy the pack 6&7. The actual price is £1190 and you’l get al future updates free of charge. The price of v7 when released will go up and you’ll actually have to pay more. So it’s a actually a great deal to get it today.
Hope this is helpful,
All the best,
Ness

Hi Ness,
I want to know if stairdesigner 7 is able to make a intermediate landing in a stair when you come across a door in the middel of of the stair for example.
I have been searching for it but I cannot find it . Also If I want to buy only stairdesigner 7 and not version 6 is that possible ?
regards
Michel
