Hi Charles,
Currently, the central stringer is only available in curved variants. A workaround can be achieved by duplicating your stair, and 1 version has the lateral stringers the other you add 1 lateral stringer, but you offset it to the centre.
Select the cutstringer, and in the properties screen, you will find the offset parameter.

Ok ,
I think I have properly uploaded my file this time.
I did add the libraries from your website, but I still dont see the manufacturing method listed that would allow me to set “straight” cut stringers.
I was able to add the center stringer but again I need it laid out as straight boards with a 90 degree connection.
Again all cut stringers will be made out of standard 2×12 timbers Actual dimensions 1.5×11.25 with lengths up to 12 feet.
please advise.

there is no attachement. Also, when you register as a free user on our website, you can download stairdesigner and just below on the same page you can download our quick design libraries which will provide you with all the needed materials and methods to get started properly.

Hi My Name is Charles,
Designing a new stairwell for my house basic design attached.
The stairwell will be enclosed, except for the first step that will come out into the room.
My biggest hurdle, at this time, with the software is the fact that I cant make straight stringers.
I watched the video, but the demo version doesn’t come with a method or materials library. I will be cutting them myself out of standard 2×12 timbers Actual dimensions 1.5×11.25 lengths up to 12 feet.
I would also like to add a center stringer, not sure how that would work in the software. Please take a look.
Starting demo today so the measurements are not exact yet as far as Hight or length but they are within an inch at this time.
