Hi Michel,
Can you please advise how I can make middle stringers? I can send you measurements here and I will send you phot of the kind of stair we have to make. Can you please advise how I can make same kind of stairs. Because, this forum is not supporting attachments, i am sending photos to you via email.
Measurements: height: 3072mm
length: 3985mm, width: 1167mm. Tread thickness: 65mm, open stairs with middle stringer.
We will have to make a stringer box in which treads will stand
Tread width: 1100 – 1140

Hi Aparna,
Dimensions must be indicated properly and better readable when you sent it. This is what could make out of it.
My problem is
1 the 1253 in the middle is impossible if the other dimensions I set are as on my drawing. This is what I could read from your picture.
2 I do not have the information about the entrance of the stair. Where does it start? Left or right?
3 are you going to use any newel in the middle to join up the landings?
I can make you a video today but please send me detailed and clear information

With length: I have a question: will length from both sides be same or similar? So, 1949 and 2153 is incorrect right?

Hi Aparna,
Here is a version of the stair, but according to me the measurements you gave are not correct. This is the result I got
the 1253 inside is weird as on the left the total length is 1949 and on the right 2163. This all with a landing of 1004 ??
This would mean an inside size of 945 on the left and 1159 on the right. Something is of on the measurements. Please recheck
Also, here is a link to upgrade your version to the latest new version. Otherwise, you will not be able to open the file. Once the design is set correctly I will record a video on how these winders are made

Hi Aparna,
I will make you a video on how to create these winders so that you can apply them later on. I will demonstrate a 3-winder in a quarter-turn stair and a 6-winder in a u-shaped stair. I will send it asap as I am having some training sessions today. I will add them on your portfolio so that you have them always available. I drop you a note when this is done.

Hi Michael, I have tried to design U shape stairs including winders however I am very confused on how to do calculations. The photos I sent you last week, I am talking about same stairs. Can you please advise how we can do measurements for length and how to make winders on a landing? So, what i did was: I chose a straight landing to start with measurements and then added a landing and then again a straight stair. Now I am really confused with measurements. Can you please help me with this?
Measurements are: for first stairs: L = 1949 mm w= 995 mm left length= 1253.
landings measurements: L = 1999mm, w = 1004mm
straight stairs: L = 2163W = 923mm
Height = 3142mm
