Hi Sandy,

It is possible to do it by creating the radius in the step cutline. This is adding a handrail accordingly. Again this is not a standard practice for SD.

Thank you, Michel. I have stumbled through to this point and now I am looking to add a handrail into this starting case. Is it possible to link these two rails with a curving transitional piece? I appreciate your help!

Hi,

I have just gotten stairdesigner and I am trying to use it to create a flared case that has the first and second treads returning to a wall. The rail would return as well. Can you help me break down the steps to make this? I have exported the stair designer file into sketch-up and tried to work it there, but it is not working out for me.

I've attached the sketch-up picture and a photo of the existing staircase that we are replacing.
