Inserting drawers into a cabinet with Polyboard is very easy.
For a standard unit full of drawers just right click any volume and select Add Drawers.
Polyboard will automatically calculate all the draws and their separate parts according to the current manufacturing method, very fast and efficient!
But how do I make drawers with different heights in the same cabinet?
Infact, making different sized drawers is very easy.
There are two ways of doing this;
– Use nul panels to divide a volume into smaller volumes
– Modify directly the sizes of the individual drawer fronts
In the following video, I go over how to use both methods.
I also show how to adjust the assembly details and save them in a “sub-method” so that you can apply the sub-method to any project and get exactly the same assembly details for all drawers.
Methods and Sub Methods can be at first glance confusing and difficult to understand, but once you get the hang of them they are in fact quite simple to use and fantastic tools for setting up your cabinets.
The power of these tools being that you can change to any detail on the fly and this detail will be changed automatically through out the project.
You can use Manufacturing Methods to automatically set all the different aspects and details of your projects.
