From its very first product back in 1973, a simple screw that offered greater grip than the competition, Titus has consistently produced cabinet fittings to address shortcoming in the market.
This includes their Quickfit dowel technology which we’ve now configured for use within our PolyBoard cabinet design software. Let’s take a look at all the new fittings we’ve added.
T-type hinges
We’ve added the T-type-i 110 specification which offers 110° opening.
Highlights include:
- Titus damper fitted inside
- 3 way snap-on mounting
- Accommodates drilling pattern errors up to 0.6mm
Tekform drawers
These drawers come with thin 14mm sides and changeable front panels.
Features include:
- Front panel EasyFix connector, inserted by hand
- Simple mounting of runners to base panel
- +/-1mm alignment tolerance on drawer bottom width
- Titus damper soft closing mechanism
System 5 cam and dowel cabinet connectors
This fitting system comes with Titus’s Klix and Quickfit technologies.
Klix is the interlocking teeth system working across cam and dowel, Quickfit refers to the dowel design, they can be inserted manually and self-adjust to accommodate errors in the drilling depth.
It’s also possible to remove the dowels by hand without panel damage.
We’ve included the Cam3000 system with the following options:
- Angled dowels (90° and 180°)
- Combi dowels (twin thread zinc and steel)
- Combi dowels with M6 insert
- Quickfit TL2 dowels
- Quickfit TL4 dowels
Here’s the Quickfit TL pushed into the edge hole (left) or inserted into the side panel (right):
The 90° angled dowel is shown below, perfect for mitred joints:
System 6 cabinet connectors
Another cam and dowel configuration created for the 32mm drilling system, so ideal for higher volume applications like closet, wine and garage storage shelving.
No edge drilling is required, so this works well with 3 axis nesting CNCs too.
Wedgefix housing for shelves
This comes with no inner cam, and allows for hand or automated factory assembly.
Quickfit with Expando
The Expando technology, highlighted below, references the dowel’s plastic sleeve which expands to create a strong high performance joint.
Titus has also developed an Angledriv feature that comes with these connector systems. This is designed to allow insertion of a screwdriver at an angle away from the panel side when locking the cam in place.
