Hi Ian,
I was browsing through forum and noticed this thread. I know its a bit to late but I have a simple solution:
Go to Cutting Lists > Cutting Lists Options > (in top left corner of the window) change setting to “Individual Cutting List”
That’s it! This will not only affect the cutlist, but also make individual files for identical parts.
Of course, Grouped Cutlist is more readable so you can change the setting to Individual Cutlist temporarily just before exporting files and then go back to Grouped Cutlist.
Hope this is usefull. Cheers!
P.S. for you guys who are looking to integrate PolyBoard with Holzhers’ BetterNest – .hop file contains the information about the amount of parts, so you can keep that setting as “Grouped Cutlist” at all times.

Hi Ian,
I’ve been working through your problem and it seems that Polyboard will only export one file for identical parts in identical cabinets .
This means that to export a file for every part in a project all the cabinets must be named differently.
We don’t have this problem with Optinest (or other pro nesting programs) because Polyboard writes a report file that contains the correct number of parts.
Unfortunately Vcarve will not read this file so you have to make a copy and give another name any duplicate cabinets.
You might consider using Optinest that will pick up the Polyboard parts automatically and also manage stock and print labels.
Hope this is helpful.
All the best,
Ness

Brilliant…. They’re wasn’t any in particular pieces missing ness , there was a combination of backstops, sides and shelves… When I printed the cutting list out from poly board everything was on it , but unfortunately when nesting all didn’t show up , there were roughly around 183 or so pieces but carve only nested 109 , anytime I went back to renest the parts I was always still short , so pieces I was missing I had to manually insert and nest but had to drill holes myself in workshop…. pretty annoying…??

Hi Ian,
Great, I’ve got all the files.
Can you tell me what parts were missing in your DXF files.
cheers,
Ness

This video shows you how to upload files: https://vimeopro.com/wooddesig…..rum-basics
You can put them all in a zip folder if you prefer before uploading. Normally you do that by selecting the files on your computer, then right click on the mouse > send to > compressed (zipped) folder. Cheers
