Cabinet with face frame, toe kick, and sides that go down to the floor.|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER

Hi Andrew,
To trim the uprights select the side panel and click the “Assembly>edit button”
Then set the lower cross bar over lap to the trimmed height of 101mm.
This will make the side panel overlap by 101mm the bottom so to get it back into alignment, set the side to bottom overlap to 0.
This will give the correct length to the side and face frame.
Please note that we are actually tricking Polyboard into making face frames by using the Assembly structures in a round about manner.
As you are using the Quick Design face frame method, this maintains the method and will make a face frame that allows you to add separations, doors, drawers, etc.
I attach your adjusted model so you can see how it’s been set up.
We are hoping to add a better face frame management in later version updates but this is a lot of development work so will probably not be available for sometime yet.
Hope this is helpful.

hi, Can you post your cabinet?
thx , Alexandre
Hello-
I’ve been playing around with your software for a few days, testing it out. I was wondering if there is a way to trim the face frame so that it doesn’t extend through the toe kick (see attachment) to the floor? I thought maybe I could use a tooling cutout similar to the one I used on the side panel, but it doesn’t look like I have the option to use that function on the face frame.
Thanks for your help,
