Hi Mark,

To make sure I’m on the point before I shoot video can you send me a bit of a discription and a sketch of  what you need the filler to do?

What I would like to know is:

what is the specific purpose?

in what specific situations do you need it?

how must it be fixed, to wall or to cabinet ?

where does it need to clip in the Polyboard project (wall or cab)?

stuff like this…….

With this info we could see what would be the best for Polyboard design and real life making and installation .

All the best,

Ness

Hi Mark,

Why do you have an inside panel on the filler?

You could use one of the sides of the filler cabinet as a return back to the wall.
You will just can either set it back from the cabinet back so that is just the right width,
or use an inner tooling to set a permanent width.

I can make you a video if this would be helpful.

All the best,
Ness

This is better.

But Ness, is there any way of putting a return back to the wall on the filler sides that overlay the alcove?

Hi Ness

Find attached.

It’s the fillers, I want to loose the right or left panel on the filler, but still have a model 25mm wide with a double back 50mm wide to give the overlay…

Hello Mark,

Not sure that I understand the problem.

If you make the filler with a “double back” as in the filler video

https://wooddesigner.org/membe…..g-fillers/

you should be able to clip it either onto the cabinet or the wall.

Could you attach your Polyboard file so that I can have a closer look?

All the best,

Ness

Hi All

Sorted it out. I will post model terry later, however, its not ideal as it leaves one return panel off the cut list.

I know we can add it as an extra which will become clear when I upload the file.

I would just like to add the panel in the right place on the design, but cannot fathom a way round it.

(Ness, did it with a overpass, 25mm groove.)

Hi Mark

Cant help but I would like to see that done as I often do alcove wardrobes and often require this.

Hi Ness.

I am racking my brains to work this one out.

Hypothetically, I have an alcove 1000mm wide. I want to put a cabinet in the alcove 950mm wide with two side fillers 50mm wide each.

This means that each filler wants to protrude 25mm beyond each side of the alcove wall.

I can do this by manually moving the model on the x,y,z, positioning, but is there any way of ‘clip’ positioning them.

Mark

P.S if you need a polyboard file, i will upload.
