curved groove in panel|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER

Hi,
I gave this example but if the drawing is done like this, in reality the outer curve should be 970mm and the inner 976mm, for a width of 4.21mm for 600mm long
if you use a 4 mm cutter for a 4 mm width, the drawing of the inner tooling must match perfectly.
Please find attached this curve into DXf you can importe into Polyboard closed curve ( or CAD sofware)
All the best, Alex

Yes,
Doors or back, it’s the same for inner toolings, now I presume it works with this news closed curve?

Hi Alex
I think i have done that now, i put on a door on the cabinet and it worked but we are not doing curve on a door its on panel measuring 600 x 400mm
if we wanted to just do the curve on a board with those measurements can we do that? i have sent the 2 different files for you to see,( i just made a cabinet and took off the sides top and bottom left the back i think that’s why it didn’t work before)
hope this makes sense
Thanks Caroline

Hi,
Please check your curve, it is not 4 mm wide on the right,
I think you forgot one point, make a rectangle of 600x4mm for example and then create the curves of radius 970.
This creates an error as the tool cannot do the path, it may even have to do a 4.21mm thickness for length of 600mm
All the best, Alex

Hi Alex
Thanks for video i followed that and i think it has done the curve but when i put it through to Vcarve it is telling me to check tool not corresponding with vector
I will send you the files could you have a look what i did wrong, we will be using a 4mm router to make the curve 4mm wide and 4mm deep

Hope the drawings make sense can you send me a video on how to do this
