Hi Gavin,

I haven't got enough time to research a good Sketchup rendering appli, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on these applications.

cheers,

Ness

Hi Gavin,

Boole is working on the next version Polyboard 6 that should be out sometime next year.

I'll send your requests to them to put on the requests list if not already listed.

I fully agree that a DXF/DWG import and better images would be a great plus.

cheers,

Ness

Hi Ness

I was wondering if boole and partners are planning any future updates to polyboard and if so what are they likely to be.

my current wish list

  1. import room layout from cad , I use redstick site cad to take site measurements (android or iPhone) which creates full plans and I can email back to the office to start the projects, this would be a great help to me and I´m sure the rest of the community using polyboard.
  2. Handles , the option to put a handle on a cabinet either an import of sketchup file or 3d dxf, or if anyone out there can advise on how to achieve this in Sketchup quickly and accurately please advise.
  3. better 3d renders and ability to use a section plane tool , I know a very big ask the software is great for manufacturing but for presenting to clients it lacks these abilities or if this can be done then a video would be great to show us how, here´s my problem we are currently in transition from Fusion FX a kitchen design package software which can create great images but lacks the details for manufacturing , I´m currently looking for a solution via Sketchup and would appreciate any help with this, like the best render plugin and ease of use , I´m currently trying the twilight plugin.

thanks Gavin
