Here's a question from Jonathan concerning solid wood construction with Polyboard :
-------------------------------------------------------------
Your product looks very impressive, but only once I downloaded it I realized that it is meant only for cabinetry and stairs. My need is for designing a solid wood expandable dinner table. Couldn’t find anything relevant in the software.
Did I miss it?
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your question.
Although was mainly designed for panel cabinetry Polyboard is also capable of doing mortise and tenon framed construction :
Here's an example of a solid wood table:

As you can see from the Xray and exploded views Polyboard does a good job of calculating parts and cutting lists.
However you'll also find some limits like the mortises of the lower, front and back rails are not drawn, as well as numbering of the solid wood part is not accounted for.
To set up furniture like this you must set up the correct bar materials and use the Structure>Assembly menus.
I attach the Polyboard model for your appreciation.
For more details on how to set up your specific table can you post a drawing or photo of what you are trying to do?
All the best,
Ness
