Hi John,

This is all possible and actually very quick as Ness’s first video shows. Once you have set up one cabinet this way you should be able to just alter the dimensions to get what you want.

You will need to populate the materials library with the right size materials to make this a speedy operation. Although it may take a few hours to get right the first time it should be easy after that for the next project. Stick with it and you will see the benefits!

As an aside, How are you building your framed cabinets in the USA? I know how we do em this side of the pond but I think your methods might be slightly different and would be interested in finding out more….

All the best Jim

Thank you Ness, we need a program that will allow us to define overlay of face frame, width of styles and rails, add rails, overlay of doors and drawer fronts. We use the box system many times, but the face frame is a major part of our work. Is this something you can add to your program? I blue print all jobs by hand, your program is what I want, but, you can not do face frames in a timely Manner …Ness, please come up with system that will work for American market. Thanks for your quick response…..john

Hello John,

Thanks for your post on this forum.

PolyBoard has limited capacities when it comes to designing framed cabinets.
For me to best advise you how to go about building your design, could you give me more information on what you are trying to build?

There are a few videos that show how you can build frames on your cabinets:

https://wooddesigner.org/suppo…..el-design/

https://wooddesigner.org/suppo…..-uprights/

But the best would be for you to send me a photo of what you are trying to build and I’ll be able to analyse it and tell you the best way to go about it.

All the best,
Ness

I’m on the program designing cabinets. I need to know how to design a cabinet with a face frame. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.
