And the model attached here is how I would want it to end up.

I can change the width of the previous model parametrically as the vertical panels are cut into the tops/ bottoms/ shelves etc. What I can’t do is change the height. With the model attached I changed the height and then surface cut the side and back panels to suit..

Hi Alex,

Many thanks for video. I had started to change priorities and cut through the panels to achieve what I wanted. However what I can’t do and what your video doesn’t show is how to cut the left and right hand panels so that the fixed shelf doesn’t actually cut through. This is not the way the cabinets would be made. Ideally I would need a nil panel that is in between each shelf (top/bottom) to cut through the side panel. This would then leave 2 side panels that overpass the fixed shelf.

Another complication is when using a double back to provide a faceframe between the upper and lower doors. I found that when overpassing a vertical panel into the fixed shelves it only worked on the top shelf. This being because the lower shelf had a nilpanel below to allow the formation of the face frame.

I found a way around this by thickness splitting the shelf and then applying the nil panel and faceframe. However I still can’t find a way to cut into the side panels?

I have attached another model

Regards

Tom

Hi,

You must now change priority with another part split automatically!

You can look at this quick video to show you how do to this 😉

Hope that’s helpful,

All the best , Alex

Hello,

I have created a single model with face frames that will be produced as multiple models. What I would like to achieve is for this model to be completely parametric. Using surface splits I have turned one large model into 2,3 and 4 models. However when changing the overall size the divided sections don’t resize proportionally. I have the references set up to do so, for example from the left at 25%. I can’t seem to input an accurate percentage value that maintains accurate parametric control for all the various divided section.

I have attached the model.

Kind regards

Tom
