Hi,

There are two points Software update and Libraries Updates

Polyboard Update 7.02 to 7.xx, an update by downloading from our website the files installpolyboard.exe, install without Uninstall

doesn’t change anything, it’s just that all collaborators must be the same version

The best way after update from “master computer”,

if using Quick Design libraries

-Closed Polyboard

-Copy Polyboard-v7.x from desktop into shared folders ,

(I have never had a negative feedback with OneDrive / Gdrive Just use the same account or same team’s shared drive.),

Link this to this new folders, ( Polyboard crashes at start-up after moving the folders, because it cannot find the libraries. )

(since QD version 7.3 if using libs > Methods  mat > Materials)

Save the “other parameters” not in the library folders (but in the Windows registry).

from menu Tools > Save parameters…

back.pngImage Enlarger

Copy this file into Polyboard-v7.x/setup/xx.pb-param

then into this folder Polyboard-v7.x/setup you can add installpolyboard.exe

Now on each post

-Make update

-Restaurer preferences from Polyboard-v7.x/setup/xx.pb-param

-Link to this new shared folders,

All the best, Alexandre

Hi Team

We have multiple Polyboard users (6) and to make sure we are all working form the same Parameters Library (Method, Material, & Texture) we have saved the used Library in a separate Shared File that all Polyboard users can have direct access too.

My Question is as the saved Parameters are separate from any Polyboard software when we do a Software update will this have an affect with the update e.g. our shared Methods are not updated? If this is so what would be the best method for updating using separate shared Parameter Library and also with out loosing our original settings.

regards

Dave
