Hi Paul,

I haven’t been able to run your youtube video as I get a video down message, but here are my remarks about your problem.

The Assembled parts sub method is not he same as the Structures Library.

The assembled parts sub method doesn’t allow you create the 2 railed structure that you require, you can only create complete framed panels.

This means that you cannot use a general manufacturing method to set up these rails  as it will always apply the default  Assembled Parts structure to a structured panel.

To easily get the top and bottom as you want them you must erase the Assembled Panel structure and re-apply the Materials sub method that contains the Structures Library 2 rails structure.

I know this is a bit awkward and not very coherent now that v7 contains the structure per panel type option, but for the time being this is the way the structures work. I’ll talk to the developers to see if they can change  the way this is organised.

 best regards,

Ness

Hi,

first of all I’m very sorry for the concerns you face, did you install Polyboard 7.01i or 7.01j?

…which corrects all the last bugs to our knowledge.

in the example that I attached to you after adding it to the method in your library you could see that the sub method works perfectly with the surface split

Cheers, Alex
