Hi Alex,

I can understand your point, but this is how the software functions and reprogramming is not planned for this. It will probably improve in the future, but there is no plan around this. This is a decision from the developers. The cuttinglist is created in a certain built logic which I understand is not in line with yours. There are also the 1/1 templates which you do not want to use, and there is the DXF output, where you can add measurements and angles. I understand this is some manual work it is still much faster to create a stair despite these restrictions. Most of our customers are working with CNC centres or, if manual, are using the templates or dxf files for measurement applications.

Hi Michel,

That didn’t answer my question. I know that there are measurements in the corners but they can be added together to give the total length.

The program is clearly already able to display the step measurements. So why can’t that be added to the normal cutting list instead of the the 2D view?

I think it will benefit everyone using the software if these can be displayed on the cut list not just visually. It’s quite a limitation to have for the price you pay for the software to get told to go and do it somewhere else manually.

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

There is currently no plan to change this, and this would require a complete reprogramming on which the cost would be too high for you to agree with. The picture you showed me is not always the total length that is displayed. In the case of the back and front of the step, when the penetration of the step in the stringboard is not perpendicular to the stringboard, you will notice if you zoom in that, there is an added value for the penetration in the stringboard.

The best way to operate is with a cad program and adding your specific sizes and angles ( which we understand is a manual process) or considering to start using the 1/1 templates.

Hi Michel,

Did the developers get back to you on the cutting list enquiry i asked about?

I noticed that when you view each step individually it does tell you the measurements of each side of the steps. (picture attached)

So there must be a way to export those measurements instead of the basic cutting list. Also need the angles too.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks
