Hi,

If I understand your request correctly, it is to have a riser with a limited width between the two stringers. There is no function available for this.

If I don’t understand, can you give me some clarification?

Cheers, Alex

Hey Alex,

Yes that’s perfect thanks. Just one question you missed out:

Also where the step meets the stringboard needs to be closed off as well with a riser. How can i make the riser the same width as the stringers?

thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

-Step number 4 and 12 need to be straight 90 degrees. How can i do that as the angles do not want to be changed? It throws an error.

> The steps are placed with the constraint of the tread line, the only solution in this case is to slightly move the tread line towards the inside to straighten the steps.

-How can i make it so the back of the stringers are straight? It will need to have a backboard to close it off. Can’t install that on the curves.

> Even if the software does most of the work, there will always be some manual customisation to be done. Here, the quickest way is to place the stringers in cut mode, which makes it easier to manipulate the points.

Hope this helpful, Alex

Hi,

I need to design a cut string staircase with the stringer as a central spine.

The software makes it curved, which is not practical in the slightest.

How can i make it so the back of the stringers are straight? It will need to have a backboard to close it off. Can’t install that on the curves.

Also where the step meets the stringboard needs to be closed off as well with a riser. How can i make the riser the same width as the stringers?

Step number 4 and 12 need to be straight 90 degrees. How can i do that as the angles do not want to be changed? It throws an error.

Drawing in question is attached.

Thanks

Alex
