Hi Kenny
please attach your stairfile. do you build your stairs manualy with a router or do you have the possibility to use a cnc machine ?
regards
Michel
Hi Michel,
Thanks for looking at this. I have changed the step penetrations to 13mm and lengthened the stringer penetrations into the newels to 45mm. I hadn’t got the hang of the link parameters but think I do now. I’m not sure what you mean when you say stringer position towards newel. Do you mean I have drawn the newel too short on the underside?
Step 8 is an existing floor height with a passage at the top of flight one leading to the left and straight ahead to a separate room. I think that is why there is no stringer there with step 7 being the last tread on that string and the newel being fitted into the existing floor.
When I have built stairs in the past I have been working with someone to keep me right so there is a good chance I’ll make the odd mistake designing this one. Better to spot it now than build it then find out!
Cheers
Kenny

Hi Kenny,
please check some parameters like step penetrations, stringer position towards newels ; No stringboards around step 8 ??
A little background story would be helpfull. How do you usualy build your stairs? Are there parameters you like to see working differently but you cannot find it ??

Hi Kenny, please note that a formal review of your project is an optional extra (you would need to order 1 hour of support from our training page for that). Our stair experts may have something to add and I’m sure if you have specific questions they can help with those.
Otherwise, please confirm when you would like us to provide the cut list and plans. Thanks for your understanding, Stefan
Hello, I’ve built a few stairs but this is the first time using a program to draw it up. Is it possible to get production drawings/cut list from this? Do you see any obvious errors? It is a pretty simple build but I’d like to get used to using this so that I can have parts CNC’d in future or possibly for this one. Comments welcome. Cheers Kenny
