Hi Paul,

Following our Team Viewer session yesterday.

The problem with your design was the step housing depths.
They were set to "Step Recess" and not "Step Penetration".

I attach the stair with the correct setting.
I've also adjusted a bit the strings and set them to straight on the right hand side.
This means you'll have to probably adjust by hand the shape of the first right hand string to string joint.

Your StairDesigner 7 model looks good too.
However you have to work a bit differently with 7 as the landing step is not automatically deducted from the tread line.sd7-01v01-3d.PNGImage Enlarger

I attach also the v7 model modified.

all the best,

Ness

Hi Paul,

It's 5:15 pm I can give you a Team Viewer session now if you want?

Or tomorrow morning if that's better for you?

Shoot me and email or give me a call.

All the best,

Ness

Hi Paul,

I'm tied up this afternoon but Monday morning from 9am would be OK for me.

Just let me know if this suits you.

All the best,

Hi Ness

Thanks for the speedy response.

I have dowloaded the pdf program. I would appreciate a team viewer meeting. When would be a good time ?

Perhaps in the morning.

Hi Paul,

You have to install  PDF Creator from here:

https://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator

Once installed you print you templates to the PDF Creator printer and then send them to your print company.

If you need help we can set up a quick Team Viewer meeting so that I can walk you through it.

All the best,

Ness

Hi Stefan

As you know I have purchased the complete stair designer program and we are just about to make our first staircase using it. I do not have a plotter yet and would like to be able to send the print file to a local company who can plot out A0 size prints.

Can you give some pointers on how to achieve this please. The print company say they just need a file emailing to them but I,m not sure how.

I would like to be able have the strings, winders and newel post templates.

I look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Paul
