problem with adding banister|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER
October 4, 2012
Hi Morgens,
You can’t add banisters because they are deactivated in the flight parameters.
To activate these, move the mouse over the flight and click right. In the menu choose “Flight Parameters”
In the Flight Parameters dialogue box tick “Right Banisters”.
You have to do the same for both flights.
The circular option in handrails is a function that has never been developed, so just ignore it.
The “Height beyond steps” parameter displays a warning message when the step housings get too near the lower string edge.
The message is only shown when you go to Display> String boards.
Your stair has very narrow steps which make it dangerous to descend.
In this case I would consider using alternate steps.
Hope this is helpful,
All the best,
Ness
hi
why can´t i add bannister in the attached stair. i now that the stair isn´t the best designed, but there is not space enough to get a better staircase.
and why is there a circulair area in handrail parameters but you can´t use it (not possible to mark up)?
in stringboard parameters i can add a “control of minimum height beyond steps”. I can´t see that it make a different.
the 2 last question have no reference to first question, but is at general speaking.
