Hello

Yes I understand that it cant be done the way it was. But i dont know if it is the best way to actually build it like you suggest either, but it is better fore sure, it cant be done! With experience i know that drawings and reality dont always cooporate 🙂  I have fixed that now with your help anyways, and attached the new file. I think I will solve that when I start building the stair and see what it would be like.

If you cant see any more major issues, I am satisfied.

Best regards Lars

Hi,

You need to remove the penetration of the first step in the newel post, so as to fit the newel posts in the first step before fixing them together on the stringers.

Hello again

After a week of thinking and involving the “design department” (wife) 🙂 it ended up i something not completly different from the beginning, but with straight stringboards instead and a different first step.

I know the risers is outside the stringboards in a few spots, not by much, but the stair is going to be “built in” on the sides so I dont think it is a problem. I think the stringboards and the steps is ok, nothing is changes in that manner.

I dont know if the handrail and the banisters are going to end up exactly like that. I also dont think it is possible to build the first step like the program suggest but I think I will sort it out in some way.

Check if you can see any major issiues otherwise i guess you can send the files

Just a question: Is it possible “display” the top floor and roof in any way?

I will defently use this tool again when i build my “next” stair in a few years…

Thanks for the support

Hi Elmen,

With a sound stair, I mean a good technically created stair. So that is ok about the landing step. In this current setup, the landing step is not included in the total flight length. The is measured until the nose of this step, and you have to extend the stringboard to cover it. It is better to add the landing step within the total flight length.

Here is a video explaining the process

Hi Eljmen,

Looking at the details the stair is technically sound, but did you look at your 3D result? You see that the landing step has not been taken care of and the handle connection in the inner corner is not ideal due to the fact that there is no added newel. If you are aware of this please confirm this model is correct and we will provide you the documents.

What is the meaning of a “sound stair”. How do I “take care” of the landning step. I dont know if I going to use the handrail, it is “just for referens”
