Squaring off risers on winder corners|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER

Hi Michael
I have put square riser of 20 mm. This is set on the stringboards in cad. You can then easily find the midpoint for drilling the holes

Hi Michel,
I have come to time to make this set of stairs and I have realised there may be something else Stairdesigner might be able to help with.
The stairs are to have 20mm stainless steel bars instead of risers, so I will need to add holes in the string boards, set back 25mm from the front edge of the treads, and halfway between the opening in between the treads. Obviously I could just add these in CAD on the square treads, but my geometry is not up to claculating the eliptical shape of the rod where they are on a tapered tread.
Is there a way you could add a steel rod instead of a riser, and then the shape of the rod would transfer onto the stringboards.
Im using your V2 version below..
Hope you can help!
Thanks
Mike

Hi Michael,
I have aligned the newels and added a step in the stair. This reduces the thread width still within regulations and gave the opportunity to have now step 8 straight and step 4. I enlarged the landing step to bring step 8 forward so that it connects with the newels.
Is this what you were looking for ?

Hi, how do I go about setting corner winders at right angles to one another. I realise it isnt always possible when trying to keep a stair as small as possible and still within building regs/stair rule, but on the stair I have attached, I have plenty of room in the goings, and I would like the newells on either side to be in line with one another. To do this I need riser 4, and riser 7 to be at right angles to the stringers.
Is there a way this can be done? I have tried move a step, but this doesnt seem to work.
Thanks
Mike
