Hi Aaron,

To design this in StairDesigner just make  the strings the full thickness metal + glass and add glass handrail with thickness of the glass and the full height of the rail.

Hi Ness,

Thank you for your reply. I have another question.

The staircase is going to be made of steel and with a glass handrail. As you can see from the picture i would like to opt for this system of hand rail. Ts it possible to design it with this software. if not, can you suggest anything else?

Thanks

Hi Aaron,

If you want your winders supported by the strings you must have curved strings on the left.

I attach a model that I consider the best configuration for you stair.

All the best,

Ness

Hi Aaron,

For what you want to do please use version 6:

V7 doesn’t have the versatility of v6 yet.

Hi Aaron,

In this release you can add landings. so id you start off with a multi-flight stair you can add landings as if they were flights.

However, this function is not yet well implemented as you can’t add a landing to as a first step to start the stair.

As well as this landings are added to the tread line and they don’t reduce the tread line.

I’m hoping that this will be improved in later versions.

All the best,

Ness

Hi Aaron,

Sorry StairDesigner 7 doesn’t have the landing step function yet.

It should be ready in the next release that coming next week.
