Hi Ness

Im trying to design a desk in 19mm Oak VMDF. I made three cabinets and got them into the project mode. I then got rid of all the components (exept the back) in the middle cabinet to create the area for the chair. I added a countertop before I did that. The idea is that I want to make the two file cabinets as separate cabs and then apply counter, 2 side panels and a back panel to the desk element recessed in flush.

Im getting a bit confused. Am i going about things the right way as now Im not sure how to add end panels and make the counter 19mm longer on each side to overpass the sides. Also no idea of how to add back panel to the desk element either.

Would it have just have been easier to create the desk element first and then slide the file cabinets underneath them in project mode…..is that possible??…….im only half way through it so don’t laugh at my design!desk.pngImage Enlarger

Cheers
