Thanks Jim and Ness

Thats a good idea about a template Jim……one I will remember. My problem though lies in the vertical positioning of the runner holes on multiple drawers inside the carcase and I was wondering how other people work that out and/or if polyboard offers help in that respect?

I used to use another programme which is now defunct. Whilst it was incredibly limited compared to polyboard it was superb at  drawer runners and even gave exact ‘heights’ of where to put the holes. The horizontal spacing is easy its just the vertical spacing I struggle with.

Cheers

For the runner holes you can just make a square template from mdf with the holes in it and easily transfer them for each carcase. Doesnt take long to knock one up for each job and is more accurate and timesaving I think.

Hi Terry,

To set this distance use select the counter front and it’s “link” to the “drawer top”.

Then use the Recess parameter:

you can of course use the Manufacturing Methods as well:

Note that the drawer top is not really a panel so the only thing to be careful about is to set the “drawer top” as the over passing panel  and the counter front as the under passing.

You can set up holes for runners in the carcase by making a fitting of that links the drawer front to the cabinet side.

have a look at this video:

All the best,

Ness

Hi everyone

Im just trying to get the second part of 3 pieces of bedroom furniture planned which is a bank of 3 carcasses and 9 drawers in a sloping alcove to a loft room. As per the wardrobe which thanks to Ness and others is now almost designed (just got to figure adding blum hinges!) im trying not to miss any aspect.

This could be a silly one but Is there a quick way to adjust the height of all the drawers. Im not keen on the default setup and would like to have a bigger gap (offset reveal) between the top of the false front to the drawer front and save the dims for future use.

Another question. If I was to go to the trouble of setting up some ball bearing runners (not sure if ive got the patience today with this heat) is there capabilty for runner holes to be calculated by polyboard on the inside of the cabinet. TRhe draer box part of the runner is pretty simple but I always ‘muddle’ through on multiple drawers of how and where the runners should go. I get there in the end but Id like to automate it a bit more.

If the software isn’t capable of that then does anyone have any foolproof systems that they use.

Cheers
