THANK YOU ALEX!

I have another question.

Have you ever heard of Zoho account which can store material stock.

I wonder if I can link the material from zoho account directly to opticut rather than import from excel.

The reason is that zoho account is much faster to adjust and edit stock faster than excel.

Hi,

Bars are manipulated in Libraries > Bar Materials and used in the assembled parts and the joint structure.

The difference is that in the Assembled Part submethod, you predefine the default assembly structure.

Thank you, alex. that’s helpful.

I just want to clarify a bit about bar, so in easy way, Bar is part of panel that is designed and stored in library as assemble panel, isn’t it?

Hi,

1° – PolyBoard PRO output 3D DXF , 3DS, and Parts processing for printing or into PDF

PolyBoard PRO PP like PRO and 2D DXF for CN ( or for compatible CN native files format, SCM PGM,XLL,PGMX, Biesse CID/CIX, WoodWoop MPR…)

OptiCut 50 > PRO provide Cutplan

OpitCut PRO PP is for compatible CNC saw
It is not obligatory to have PB PRO PP and OC PRO PP, but it depends on your needs.
For example you can have PB PRO PP and OC 500, or PB PRO and OC PRO PP

2° – I look for grain direction for materials, but I don’t think there is solution

3° – You have Bars and Panels materials and both are managed separably

In general, bars are used for assembled elements

But bars and panels can be changed from the assembly menu.

Bars work with lengths, and panels with surface (height and width).

Hi there,

OptiNest is a CNC nesting software capable of handling non-rectangular shapes.

It works with DXF files and requires PolyBoard PRO PP (Post-Processor version), or drawing shapes in a CAD software.

It does not handle materials

OptiCut is for Beem Saw (or compatible CNC saw)

It works with a simple list exported by PolyBoard PRO, or a CSV sheet export software, but you already know that 😉

For pre-cut parts to be worked CNC piece by piece, or manual assembly.

Both manage off-cuts, panel stock, labels and cutting plan.

Cheers, Alex

If looking to Optinest, i see the similarity between opticut and optinest. Which one is the most useful base on what case?
