Hi A:Lex

I put the Type “P” in and set it up, applied to the holes and fittings I am having problems with at the moment, and it seems to have worked ok.  AN interesting change is that it is now just defining the drilling head and the tool location when it comes into Maestro rather than the drill bit and the type of drill.  I will test more tomorrow, but it would be good to have a way of changing drilling for all fittings to the Type “P” globally as ts a long way to go back when you get to final nesting just to find out that you have lance in the a certain type of hole.

Thanks

Hi Alex

We had a session on this by video and the simple answer to your question is no as I don’t have time to go into every single fixture and fitting to associate the PLAT tool.  All through and non through drillings were set up with Michel and he put a definition for each hole size so they are all Plat and that worked perfectly until I contacted a month ago.  So now I need to delete all of the drill definitions in the tooling and create the single PLAT one followed by going to every single fitting and fixture to add the Plat tool because someone changed something.  I am also struggling to understand why a through drilling would be Lance as this would fill the spoil board up with holes.  Is there not an easier and less time consuming solution?  Note this is primarily happening on 5mm shallow holes.

Thanks

Hi,

Have you updated your fitting and regular drillings, as explained in this post?

https://wooddesigner.org/forum…..irst-side/

and then exported again

If the issue persists, can you upload the project with the issue?

Cheers,

Alex

I am still getting the drilling problem whereas some holes are still coming out as lance rather than Plate.  I have been very busy building designs and now we are going into production and I am hitting the same problem.  In the fittings there are no defined tools so we should as we discussed be getting the plate output.  It seems to be a bit random.   Fixed this with Michael some time ago and now I have predominantly the 5mm drilling as Lance.

Thanks
